ABOUT

My name is Will Willis.

I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2018 after studying Games Production BSc, achieving a first class honours degree.

Recently graduated in Creative Technologies MSc. This course consisting of one year long project, with mine focusing on mental health in game design, creating a VR game to raise mental health awareness.

Alongside this, I currently work on a co-op dungeon crawler game called Substratum: Into the Depths, with the development team consisting of myself, a programmer, and a concept artist.

During my experience at university, I constantly tried out new software with my projects. With so many small projects going on, this meant I could try a new workflow or software and see whether it works or not. During this time I also worked as a Student Ambassador for two years and a Student Mentor for one year. This meant I could do more of what I love, working with others on new, and exciting projects.

In my spare time, I like to play video games, explore, and watch films. With my biggest passtime being learning new production methods and technologies, incorporating them into my projects and games.

In the near future I'd love to work as a full-time game designer. My university experience showed various times that I can live up to the challenges set before me, and that giving me a chance to prove myself is always a great idea. My talent and commitment to my work can be seen in my previous experience, academic achievements, and portfolio.
